Best time to visit Goa:

The best time to visit goa is between November to March. Many people visit during December as there are a lot of festivals and flea markets to visit on Anjuna beach and Baga beach. Many tourists visit in December. And the weather is cool and pleasant. In months of October to march, it becomes the hottest party destinations

How to reach Goa?

En route by air: The nearest International airport is located at Dabolim it is situated at a distance of 29 kilometres away from Panjim. Major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, etc are well connected. A direct flight from Mumbai takes 1 hour 5 mins.

En route by rail: The two most important railheads in Goa are Madgaon and Thivim which are well connected by trains all over the country. Direct train from Mumbai takes 6 hours 25 mins to reach.

En route by road: One can take public or private buses from nearby cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, etc. Besides that those driving from Mumbai can take the NH4 route which takes 10 hours.

Where to stay in Goa?

5-star hotels are available to stay. Besides that, there are guesthouses and beach-side huts available at the beach that caters to the budgets of different tourists.

  • Shri Mangeshi Temple:

The Shri Mangeshi Temple is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is considered to be one of the most important temples in Goa; as it belongs to the typical Goan Hindu temple style of architecture. It is located on a Hillock at Proil which is in the Ponda Taluka, surrounded by lush greenery which creates a separate place in the hearts of the onlookers. The three-day yatra of Shri Mangesh takes place in the lavish which draws huge and colourful crowds. 

  • Basilica of Bom Jesus Church:

The Basilica of Bom Jesus church is one of the oldest churches in old goa it is about 10 km from Panjim. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is ovThe er 408 years old and is open to the public every day. It holds the remains of St. Francis Xavier. The remains are still in good condition and are taken out to show once every decade.  A site with rich cultural and religious significance, the Basilica of Bom Jesus has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is also known for its exemplary baroque architecture.

  • Dona Paula:

The most important attraction of this beach is the water sports facilities available here. The Dona Paula Sports Club offers water-scooter, cycle, and especially motorbikes. Other water sports include windsurfing, Parasailing, water-skiing, toboggan ski-biscuit, skibob, sport fishing, snorkelling, harpoon fishing, kayaking, and yachting. There are several shops along the beachside, which sell a variety of goods ranging from eatables to clothes.

  • Calangute Beach:

It is the largest beach in North Goa. Visitors can also enjoy a number of water sports at Calangute beach like parasailing, windsurfing and water skiing for example.

These activities start during the afternoon and they go on until sunset. Over the years it has become a tourist hub and it is home to pop and rock music and this is one of the reasons as it has a charm of its own. Street and seafood are available at shacks and beach restaurants. 

  • Dudhsagar falls:

Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. It is about 60 km from Panaji and is located on the Madgaon-Belgaum rail route. The best time to visit is during monsoons. Although reaching the falls in monsoon is difficult but the sheer nature and the splendour of nature makes it worthwhile. The view of this majestic waterfall is breathtaking.  

  • Casinos in Goa:

Goa is one of the states where gambling is legal. Casinos in Goa can be found on boats anchored in the Mandovi River, and onshore in some upmarket hotels. Most of the action, with live tables, takes place on the floating casinos — which are entertainment destinations within themselves. Goa’s largest floating casino is The Deltin Royale.

After sunset, Goa comes to life and it is in party mood 365 days in the year. The beach shacks are to fall in love with. The party vibe is what attracts tourists here. The night markets in Goa are fun from food items, handicrafts, jewellery to clothes at affordable prices. One must visit the Saturday market at Arpora beach. The Goan speciality is silent noise parties. One can dance on EDM and pop tracks and get high on booze and music.
