The astounding swatch of nature is an Indian national park and a UNESCO heritage of Site exhibiting plush meadows blossomed with endemic alpine flowers and diverse fauna in this valley.

Situated in north Chamoli in the state of Uttarakhand. The valley is home for various and diverse forms of flora and fauna. In addition, some endangered species, including the Asiatic black bear, a snow leopard, musk deer, brown bear, red fox and blue sheep can be found here.

Birds found in the park include Himalayan Monal Pheasant and other high altitude birds.

It is at 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level. And also uncommon recognised blooms like the Brahma Kamal, the blue poppy and the cobra lily. The different colourful butterfly hues match the tones of blossoms.

Blossoms, mainly orchids, poppies, primulas, calendulas, daisies, and anemones cover the recreation centre region. The park stretches over the area of 87.50 km2 and it is about 8 km long and 2 km wide. The valley of flowers progresses and changes its shades throughout the season from May to October.

The valley of flowers opens on 1 June(this year) and get closed on around October/November. The best time to visit is from mid-July to mid-August because then is when flowers to full blossom after the first monsoon rain.

Valley of flowers: A trek

This beautiful valley all rich in beautiful scenery and flowers tends to be a great place for trekking, sightseeing, and a very much loved destinations by botanists, photographers, bird watchers and wildlife photographers. The valley attracts the flock of tourists every year.

The trek towards valley begins at Govindghat or Pulna village. The trek covers a beautiful range of villages, rivers and nature. The 7 km trek from Pulna to Bhyundar village is full of nature’s beauty.

Crossing over 2 km bank of Laxman Ganga will lead to Ghangaria, the base camp for treks to Valley of flowers. A swift trek route to the valley of flowers has been carved which will easily guide you towards the valley.

Hemkund sahib

Situated at an altitude of 4,329 m above sea level in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state.

Hemkund literally suggests lake of snow and the pristine water of this lake is as cold as snow. Popularly known as Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib. It falls on the beautiful trek to the valley of flowers. And, you can also witness the good amount of snowfall around you. It all combines to a beautiful view composed of white snow and sun shining, will fill your heart with natural beauty.
