So to make it easier for our visitors, we’ve created “A Quick Vietnam Travel Guide or Vietnam Itinerary” which is as short as just 5 days and 4 nights but you’ll not feel like you missed anything in Vibrant Vietnam.

But before that let’s check out some amazing places to visit there.

Must-Visit Places in Vietnam

1. Hanoi

Hanoi is fascinating where old and new things blends, Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mixed. One can have a pleasant walk around the Ho Chi Minh complex.

Then there’s  HCM Mausoleum, where the embalmed body of the country’s first president rests, stilt house and One pillar pagoda.

2. Halong Bay

You can enjoy cruise rides or board a private boat enjoy the scenic beauty as you sail past the gigantic limestone islands, more than the 1600s of them, which is recognized by UNESCO in 1994.

Explore Dau Go Cave, Thien Cung Grotto, round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island and Sail Island. A lunch of fresh seafood is served on board.

3. West Lake

West Lake is the biggest freshwater lake in Hanoi. It is surrounded by many shops, gardens, and restaurants making it a perfect tourist attraction.

It features Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. (Pagoda means Hindu or Buddhist temple)

4. Hoa Lu

It is depicted that Hoa Lu is the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Hoa Lu is a district of Nin Binh province, 90km to the south of Hanoi.

You can also visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with very unique architecture in the old time. Learn more about ancient culture through an excavation of vestiges of Royal Palaces ground dated 10th century.

5. Tam Coc

It is also located on Nin Binh province and it one of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. You can board the sampan boats in Tam Coc cave going along river among the villages, mountains and rice fields.

Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai – Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave” to get a wonderful feeling.

Vietnam Travel Guide & Vietnam Itinerary:

Duration: 5 days / 4 nights – Hanoi – Halong Bay – Nin Binh
Arrival: Hanoi Airport  Depart: Hanoi Airport

Day 1: Hanoi arrival 

On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, be picked up and transferred by our local driver and tour guide. Check-in and free. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour  (B/L)

08:00 AM:  You will take a full day of exploring the fascinating city of Hanoi where old and new things blend, Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mixed.

You will have a pleasant walk around the peaceful Ho Chi Minh complex to visit HCM Mausoleum, HCM’s stilt house, and One Pillar pagoda.

Then proceed to West Lake and Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. Next is the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam.

After lunch, you will visit Bo De pagoda run by lady monk and is home of about 50 abandoned orphans (around 20 infants, 15 high school students, and 15 secondary pupils).

Finally, you will take a fascinating cyclo tour through the famous 36 ancient streets of the Old Quarter, followed by Water Puppet Show.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong  (B/L)

Breakfast in hotel,  depart to Halong Bay. Arrive Halong,

Board a private boat for a cruise in Halong Bay, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1994. Explore Dau Go Cave, Thien Cung Grotto, round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island and Sail Island.

A  Lunch of fresh seafood is served on board. Return to Hanoi with stop-overs at ceramic and hand embroidery workshops en route.  Arrive Hanoi. Check-in and free. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Nin Binh – Tam Coc – Hoa Lu – Hanoi (B/L)

8:30 AM: Depart for Nin Binh province (90 km south of Hanoi). Arrive at Hoa Lu, which was once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settling up in the 10th century.

Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with very unique architecture in the old time. Learn about ancient culture through an excavation of vestiges of Royal Palaces ground dated 10th century.

Relax and enjoy lunch in a nice restaurant nearby. Board the sampan boats in Tam Coc cave going along river among the villages, mountains, and rice fields.

Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai – Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave” to get a wonderful feeling. The Boat returns to the dock for a bus drive back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi by departure (B) 

This morning we might have a few hours to relax before our transfer without guide to Noi Bai airport for a flight home.
