Flying like a bird over water or land isn’t it amazing. Parasailing is done with the help of a parachute which is pulled by a boat or car. It’s one of the best sports for speed lovers.

Goa is the best place for parasailing in India. Spectacular Arabian sea and gorgeous goa beaches with a bird’s view are mind-blowing.

The best season to try this is from October to March.

It costs approx. INR 950-INR 1500 per person.

2.Scuba Diving

Diving in deep blue water and exploring the underwater world, getting up close with the breathtaking beauty of the marine world is too good for your appetite for beauty. 

India offers an unlimited possibility for scuba divers, Andaman and Nicobar being best among them.  Andaman and Nicobar Islands boast stunning coral reefs, top facilities, and amazing diving experiences.

The best time to get this amazing experience is the whole year except monsoon.

Scuba diving requires a reasonable degree of physical fitness. To try this sport you must take along a medical certificate stating you are physically fit and have no history of asthma.

Be cautious not to harm any coral reef.

3.Bungee Jumping

It’s a young sport in India gaining popularity day by day. Freefall from a great height will surely give you butterflies. Free-falling and rebounding gives a thrill.

The adventure capital of India, Rishikesh is the best venue for bungee jumping in India. 

The best season to try this is Feb-March and Aug-Oct.

4.Hot Air Balloons

Wanna get away from the crowd and sail in the sky, then get inside a hot air balloon.

In India, Rajasthan is the best place for this excellent experience. Regular flights currently operate around the iconic pink city of Jaipur and the holy town of Pushkar during the Pushkar camel fair in November.

The best season is from October to March.

5.Flying Fox

Have you ever dreamt about flying high in the air in super-speed like a superhero? If yes, the flying fox will make your dreams come true. It is one of the most popular adventure sports in India. 

The most famous places to try flying fox are Rishikesh and Himalayas. Beautiful sceneries will make your moments more special.

The best season to try this is Sept to Nov and July to March.

It costs approx. INR 200 – INR 500 per head.


Want to try parachuting from an airplane for fun? Skydiving includes free-falling through the air before opening a parachute. It can be done individually or with a group of people.

Amby valley in Maharashtra is the only place in India offering skydiving throughout the year. You’ll be trained by professional trainers and provided with all safety gear before dropping from around 10,000 feet.

You can try this sport all year round except during the monsoon.

It costs approx. INR 25,000 – INR 30,000 per head.

7.River Rafting

India is rapidly emerging as the ‘river running destination’ of the world. River rafting thrill-seeking sports. 

Rivers of the Himalayas like Chanderbhaga, Bhagirathi, Sutlej, and Ravi are some of the best rivers for white water rafting in India. Manali along with Kullu are some of the excellent options for adventure river rafting along with kayaking and other water sports.

The best season to try this is from Mid Sept to Mid June.

It costs approx. INR 1500 – INR 2500 per head.

River rafting is not too safe for non-swimmers, always ask for a Life Jacket before stepping into the raft.

8.Rock Climbing

As the name suggests, this sport needs endurance and daring. It’s a challenging sport but with the help of proper equipment and great instructors you can do it effectively and efficiently.

India is blessed with an amazing variety of terrain.

Places to Experience Rock Climbing are Sattal, Mahabaleshwar, Sar Pass, Miyar Valley.

For those who are seriously into rock climbing, Sar Pass in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh is highly recommended.

The best season to try this sport is from May to October.

9.Dune Bashing

It’s a water-based adventure activity that is relatively new in India. It consists of a hoverboard-like structure that is attached to a machine that thrusts water at it with massive force.

The force propels you into the air and you are literally floating, powered by the water’s thrust. Places such as Goa and Gokarna offer flyboarding activities.

The best season to try this is Oct – April.

It costs approx. INR 2500-3500 per head.

Skiing over a thick blanket of snow is always fun. It involves moving over snow by the use of a pair of long, flat runners called skis, attached or bound to shoes or boots. It’s a recreational activity as well as a competitive sport. You need to practice to enjoy it completely.

Gulmarg in Kashmir, Kufri in Shimla and Auli in Uttarakhand are a well-known destination in India for adventure skiing.

The best season to try this is late Dec and Feb.

It costs approx. INR 7,500 – INR 15,000.
